Volunteer Ushers

Do you enjoy people? You too can be an usher.

Reliable people are needed to volunteer usher at the Marina Civic Center. Currently, we have over 60 volunteers that spend countless hours at our theater hosting, greeting and seating our patrons. Our volunteer program is a vital part of our operation and our success.

Ushers perform such duties as preparing programs, helping patrons to their seats and assisting house management. Our volunteers also work for many different events in our area throughout the year including the Indian Summer Festival, shows at the Martin Theatre and Gulf Coast Community College. Volunteers are not required to usher at every show as the schedules are flexible.

We request all volunteer ushers complete a Volunteer Usher Orientation and Training Class. This training session prepares volunteers to assist our patrons and introduces them to the theatre. Sessions are scheduled throughout the year. Call us for more information! This opportunity is available to anyone 16 years of age and older.

Don't miss our next Volunteer Usher Orientation and Training Class at the Marina Civic Center. Everyone is welcome - new ushers and experienced! Please call us for details on the next training class!
